Description:

Maxim Integrated Products, located in Sunnyvale, California, seeks a
Technical Translation Specialist to oversee the translation process
for marketing materials into a variety of languages. If you are an
excellent communicator, well organized, detailed-oriented, and can
juggle multiple projects and deadlines, read on!

Position Description:
This is a high visibility position that directly impacts the success
of the company. Working with our professional translation staff, and
desktop publishers, you will coordinate Marketing Communications
translation efforts.

This is NOT a translation position and you are not required to do the
translations yourself. Instead, you will oversee the translation
process by outside translators. You will monitor and track several
stages of editing, proof film and ensure delivery to appropriate
reproduction services. You will also help coordinate the ongoing
development of one of our Asian-language websites. You must
demonstrate proven success at coordinating multiple projects under
tight deadlines. You consider yourself an exceptional editor and
proofreader when attention to detail is essential. Your scheduling and
project management skills are equally solid, and you are always ready
to react, prioritize and reschedule as situations change. You are
comfortable with self- directed efforts and team participation. And
most importantly, you are a hands-on "doer," someone who takes charge
of projects and owns all facets of the work from start to completion.

Please note that we are considering local candidates only at this
time. Relocation expenses are not covered.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Organize and schedule translation efforts
- Proof and review all translated drafts
- Ensure that all projects adhere to company standards for format,
 style and content accuracy
- Track project schedules, maintain project records and adjust as 
 priorities shift

Key Qualifications:
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills; translation and/or
 localization experience a definite plus!
- Proficiency in at least one foreign language (Korean, Chinese,
 and/or Japanese a plus)
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 2 years of experience coordinating multiple projects under tight
 deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with engineering and electronics terminology a plus
- Experience with website development a plus
