Position Announcement Senior Voice User Interface Designer Roles and Responsibilities: As part of the Product Management Team, VUI designers manage the persona, call flow design, prompt script, and usability analysis for Apptera's packaged speech applications. The position requires an insightful understanding of customer service processes, caller needs and behaviors, automation opportunities, and voice user interfaces that will make callers say 'wow!' Position Objectives: * Define the voice user interface for Apptera packaged speech applications o Create use cases o Define personas o Model and design call flows o Define prompt wording o Define grammar requirements * Lead usability testing & analysis effort * Lead the prompt recording effort, including voice talent direction * Help design customizations on behalf of customer engagements (as specified by the account team) * Maintain knowledge-base of VUI best practices Required Skills: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience * Minimum of 4 years of experience in voice user interface design for enterprise speech self-service solutions * Strong understanding of speech recognition & synthesis technologies * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Linguistics background a plus * Creativity Please send resumes to: hrMail to author|Respond to list|Read more issues|LINGUIST home page|Top of issueapptera.com.
