Description:

Applications are invited for a Post Doc position in the Department of
Linguistics, beginning as soon as possible and lasting until December,
31, 2006. The position is part of the Lise-Meitner-Programm for equal
opportunities for women in research and teaching, which implies that
only female applicants will be considered.

The appointment will be in the domain of theoretical linguistics with
a focus on one core subfield of linguistics
(phonology/syntax/semantics) and its interfaces. Experience with
experimental work in cognitive science is an advantage. The successful
candidate will contribute to teaching at both undergraduate and
graduate levels. She will be required to participate actively in the
newly established research group SFB 632 "Information structure" 
( http://www.ling.uni-potsdam.de/sfb/index2_eng.php ).

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out high quality
interdisciplinary research as head of a group of 2 Ph.D. students.
Evidence of substantial research achievement in the form of published
papers is a prerequisite.

Salary range: BAT-O IIa, appoximately EUR 60,000 gross per year
(varies with age).
