The Departamento de Traducci�n, Interpretaci�n y Lenguas Aplicadas at
the Universidad Europea de Madrid (www.uem.es/traduccion) is currently
offering a position for a technical consultant with proven experience
in the development and management of language technology projects. The
position will be initially available from June 2004, for twelve
months; and continuation will be tied to the production of successful
projects.


Profile:

- Experience in R&D projects, particularly in the area of language technology
- Experience in project management, particularly in the management of
European projects
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Sound knowledge of European and Spanish research programmes and
calls for proposals
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)


Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of senior researchers, the technical consultant
will be involved in the following activities:

-drafting of project proposals, including both technical and
administrative aspects (like drafting technical reports or the
supervision of project budgets)
-coordinating project development
-identification of research programmes in the field of language technology
-composing suitable consortia for project preparation and execution
-attending informative sessions and taking care of networking activities
-organising meetings and events

Salary will be negotiated with the candidate, depending on
qualifications and experience.
