This is to inform those interested in language documentation or
community service activities for your Department. The University of
Hawaii at Manoa's Linguistics Society and Department started a
project this semester to teach speakers of lesser documented languages
how to begin their own documentation projects.

This is a very rewarding project that any department could do. If
