This post will enhance the department's existing strength in Language Variation and Change. You must be active in research in LVC, possess demonstrable experience in quantitative variationist methodology, and have a solid background in modern linguistic theory. You will have a PhD, a record of research and publication appropriate to the level of appointment, and will be able to contribute to the department's teaching in LVC at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
