The purpose of the conference is to provide postgraduates with an opportunity to present their research. THE SEVENTH DURHAM POSTGRADUATE CONFERENCE IN THEORETICAL AND APPLIED LINGUISTICS Workshop Speakers Prof. April McMahon (University of Sheffield) and Dr Rob McMahon (North Trent Molecular Genetics Laboratory, Sheffield Children's Hospital) - GENES, LANGUAGES, AND FAMILY TREES. Dr Paul Bennett (UMIST) - COMPUTATIONAL LINGUISTICS AND MACHINE TRANSLATION. Registration To register for the conference, please download the registration form from the conference website http://www.dur.ac.uk/pgconf.linguistics Registration costs �6 (if paid in advance) or �8 (if paid on the day). Students from overseas who are not able to arrange payment in sterling may pay on the day (at the reduced rate of �6), provided they have returned the form in advance.
