Lecturer in Japanese (Confirmation Path)

School of Language, Literature and Performing Arts

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the
full-time, confirmation path position of Lecturer in Japanese within
the Department of Languages and Cultures, School of Language,
Literature and Performing Arts. Applicants should have native-level
fluency in Japanese and an excellent command of English, as well as
experience or training in teaching Japanese as a second language at
tertiary level. In addition, candidates should have a completed PhD in
an area of Japanese language, linguistics, or language teaching
pedagogy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in
Japanese language at all levels. The appointee will also be required
to pursue research in the area of his or her higher degree expertise,
and to supervise the research of postgraduate students.
