Responsibilities Teach a minimum of six courses in Applied Linguistics (Sociolinguistics, English Linguistics for TESOL, etc.) at both the Undergraduate and Graduate level. Advise and serve on committees for graduate students. Serve on Departmental, Faculty, and/or University wide committees. 2. Qualifications (1) Native speaker of English (2) Earned doctorate in the area of Applied Linguistics (3) Four or more years experience of teaching at the Undergraduate level (4) 8 publications or more (including non-refereed and "vanity" publications), or 12 points or more (3 points for books, 2 points for refereed papers and 1 point for non-refereed papers) (5) Sufficient ability in written and spoken Japanese to participate in faculty affairs. (Otherwise the candidate should be willing to learn Japanese and pass the 2nd level of the Japanese Proficiency Exam within 5 years to renew the contract). 3. Information about Aichi Shukutoku University: Aichi Shukutoku University (ASU) is a private university that was established in 1975 as part of the Aichi Shukutoku Gakuen. ASU offers undergraduate programs in six different faculties (Faculty of Letters, Faculty of Studies in Contemporary Society, Faculty of Communication Studies, Faculty of Creativity and Culture, Faculty of Business, and Faculty of Medical Welfare) across two different campuses.
