Description:

The Applied Computational Linguistics group at Potsdam U Linguistics
Dept. offers a position in text summarization. This is a full-time job
for 3 years, salary according to the German BAT-IIa-O scale. The
project is part of a larger network and involves collaboration with
some Berlin-based companies. Knowledge of German is an advantage but
it can also be acquired on-the-job.

The goal of the project is hybrid text summarization, first
single-document, later multi-document. Applicants should have
- strong interest in hybrid approaches to text processing
- background in XML-based document processing 
- background in statistical analysis
- programming skills (including a suitable script language)
- (background in summarization is an advantage, naturally)
The project shall start soon - so be spontaneous and contact me
