The Tenth International Conference on Austronesian Linguistics will be
held 3-6 January 2006 in the Philippines, co-hosted by the Linguistic
Society of the Philippines and SIL International. Papers on any area
of language or linguistics specifically related to Austronesian

The 10th International Conference on Austronesian Linguistics
(10-ICAL) will be hosted by the Linguistic Society of the Philippines
and SIL International, 3-6 January 2006 in the Philippines. Tentative
venue: Barcelo- Asturias Hotel (and cooperating hotels) in Puerto
Princesa City, Palawan. Fees to be announced.

Scholars are invited to offer papers on any aspect of language or
linguistics specifically related to Austronesian languages, including
but not limited to: historical and comparative matters, phonetics and
phonology, morphosyntax and discourse, lexicography and semantics,
language preservation and development, literature, and language
teaching. Papers may be data- or theory-oriented. Presenters will
have 30 minutes each--20 for presentation and 10 for
discussion. Theme- or area-related workshops and symposia are invited.

variétés et structure

Colloque international du 6 au 9 juillet 2004 à Calgary, Canada

''Phonologie du français: Enjeux descriptifs et théoriques''

Nous invitons tous les collègues qui 'intéressent à la phonologie
du français à considérer dès maintenant la présentation 'une
communication au Colloque PFC qui aura lieu dans un contexte canadien
au début du mois de juillet 2004.

Lieu: Calgary, Alberta, Canada à 'Université de Calgary.

Dates: du 6 au 9 juillet 2004 (avec possibilité de prolongation
touristique); arrivée à Calgary le 4 ou 5 juillet.

Nous envisageons pour cette réunion la même formule que celle
adoptée à Paris en décembre 2003:

A. Une journée de colloque standard organisée autour du thème:
Phonologie du français: enjeux descriptifs et théoriques.
B. Des journées PFC habituelles avec communications, présentations
des travaux en cours, des outils, traitement de la prosodie, etc.

Nous vous invitons à nous adresser des propositions de communication
soit pour le colloque, soit pour les journées PFC.

Les propositions de communication sont à envoyer par courriel avant
le 15 mars 2004 à Douglas Walker (dcwalkerucalgary.ca) avec copie à
Jacques Durand (jduranduniv-tlse2.fr).

Des chambres ont été réservées dans une résidence sur le campus;
il y a aussi la possibilité de chambres 'hôtel près du campus ou en
ville. Le formulaire de réservation est annexé à ce message;
prière de noter que la date limite pour une réservation confirmée
est le 1 juin 2004. Comme indiqué sur le formulaire de réservation,
les Private Suites ont un WC/salle de bain privés; lesPrivate
Room/Shared Suite ont des chambres individuelles mais partagent les
WC/salles de bain à l'intérieur des appartements. (Pour une copie

Possibilités touristiques: le célèbCalgary Stamp (un grand rodéo
qui a lieu en même temps que le Colloque, donc nécessité d'une
planification à 'avance); les Montagnes Rocheuses; sites amérindiens
des Premières Nations; musée de paléontologie(Tyrell Museu) de
renommée mondiale.
