Dr. David E. Vancil, Curator of the Cordell Collection of Dictionaries, Indiana State University, is inviting proposals for Warren N. Cordell Fellowships. Fields of research include lexicography, lexicology, the history of English and other languages, or related areas. One or more awards, currently designated in the minimum amount of $100 per day (based on a five-day week) for up to two weeks, will be made to one or more fellows after completion of research in the collection. Individuals encouraged to apply include: researchers with a record of publication in the areas supported by the collection; recent postgraduates in applied linguistics, lexicography, and similar fields who have completed a thesis or dissertation and would like to continue their research in the holdings; historiographers, historians, and researchers in subject fields who need to consult lexicogological, encyclopedic, and similar source material; and graduate students in various fields whose use of the materials will facilitate completion of a thesis, dissertation or other publication.
