University or Organization: Georgia University Asia-Pacific Department: Applied Linguistics and TESOL Rank of Job: Assistant Professor Specialty Areas: Applied Linguistics, Applied Linguistics and TESOL Description: PART TIME TEACHING POSITIONS The MA and PhD Program of Applied Linguistics and TESOL at Georgia University Asia-Pacific invites applications for several part time teaching positions in the field or related fields of Applied Linguistics (Pragmatics, Second Language Acquisition, Psycholinguistics, Language and Culture, Corpus Linguistics) and TESOL/EFL (Language Teaching Theories and Practice, Language Testing, Curriculum Design, Computer Assisted Language Learning and Teaching). Qualifications for application include a PhD, EDD, or MA degree or equivalent in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or related fields, native or near-native proficiency in English, and demonstrated ability to supervise graduate students. As an on-line program, we especially welcome applicants with on-line or distance teaching experiences. One of the privileges of teaching on-line is its flexibility. Prospective educators do not have to be physically present on campus, but would be required to show a strong promise and commitment in both teaching and research.
