University or Organization: University of Central Arkansas Department: Writing & Speech Rank of Job: Assistant Professor Specialty Areas: General Linguistics, Rhetoric and Composition Description: The Department of Writing and Speech at the University of Central Arkansas announces the availability of two tenure-track positions in the fall of 2004. We seek a generalist with the ability to teach linguistics as well as a combination of other courses, which may include college-level writing courses, rhetoric, composition theory, or creative writing. Ph.D. required; college teaching preferred. The department is housed in its own newly opened, multi-million dollar facility at the gate of the university. The department's 26 full-time faculty members teach and advise undergraduate minors and majors in speech, writing, linguistics and public relations.
