Description:

We are seeking a native German Technical Translator to work on a
permanent basis for a customer who develops complex system
software. You will translate software products from English to German
including user interfaces, command-line utilities, messages,
documentation, online help systems and web content.

You will also prepare materials for outsourced translation, provide
linguistic services to product teams and develop and maintain style
guides, translation memories and other tools.

To apply, you should have a professional translation qualification and
at least two years' experience of translating complex commercial
software and documentation. A native German speaker, you will also
have fluent oral and written English. Competence with tools such as
Trados, RoboHelp and FrameMaker is essential, as is the ability to
work well in an integrated team of developers, technical authors,
testers and localization specialists.

This is a permanent position based in the UK and all applicants should
be willing to live and work in the UK on a long-term basis. A salary
in the range of GBP 35,000 per annum will be offered to the right
candidate, along with comprehensive benefits and a possible relocation
pakage.
