Announcement of a one day symposium on 'Creativity in Language' with Derek
Attridge, Ron Carter and Rob Pope.
A one-day symposium on creativity in language will be held at the University of
Nottingham, UK on Saturday 21st May 2005, at the University Arts Centre,
Lakeside: 10-4pm.
This symposium brings together three academics who have a particular research
interest in creativity and who have recently published books on the area. The
symposium is organised by Praxis: the Centre for the Study of Literary
Discourse, and is supported as a PALA-25 event, sponsored by the Poetics And
Linguistics Association in its 25th anniversary year. The day is also supported
by Routledge, and the book Language in Theory, by Mark Robson and Peter
Stockwell, will be launched at the symposium.
