Description:
You will work with a small team of scientists creating innovative solutions to
customer problems. These new solutions often form the basis of new or improved
products in the Kofax family. Responsibilities include implementing and
designing algorithms for natural language and image processing (e.g.
classification, extraction), prototype system development, and review of
academic and industry literature to stay abreast of the latest advances in the
field. This is a hands on position blending cutting edge algorithm and
technology development with real customer data and problems. The role includes
applied research, prototype construction as well as demonstration of what you
have created to engineering, marketing, and customers.
Qualifications:
- MS Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of Machine Learning and statistical
learning theory applied to Text Mining, Data Mining, Image Processing/Machine
Vision, or Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Solid mathematical background in one or more of the following fields: Statistics,
probability theory, or linear algebra
- Excellent programming skills in C++, and a scripting language such as Perl,
Python, or PHP is essential.
- Experience building prototype or proof of concept systems is desirable
(ASP, Perl, web scripting, SQL Server, C# / .NET)
