The conference provides a forum for researchers from all over the world to report original work on any aspect of cognitive processing in the target languages. The aim of the 2005 conference is to promote discussion of interdisciplinary research into processing major East Asian languages. Abstracts are solicited for oral papers and interactive posters. General topics of interest include, but not limit to, the following: Perception Lexical access Syntactic processing Comprehension Production Acquisition and pedagogy (either as a first/second language) Neural mechanisms Universal and language-specific processes Bilingualism Language and cognition Abstracts with at most 250 words of text should be sent by September 10, 2005. Corresponding authors of accepted papers will be notified maximum three weeks after submission.
