Description:

The College of Charleston invites applications for a Visiting Assistant
Professor of Spanish to begin Fall 2005 with the possibility of renewal for up
to two years. PhD in hand by time of appointment. Specialization in the area of
Applied Linguistics. Teaching responsibilities include all levels of Spanish
language, conversation and composition and courses in area of specialization.
Requires native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, evidence of
effective teachings, commitment to the most recent pedagogical and technological
advances College-level teaching experience preferred.

Candidates should sent letter of application, with curriculum vitae, transcript
and three recent letters of recommendation to Dr. José Escobar, Acting Chair.
