University or Organization: University of Sheffield Department: Department of English Language & Linguistics Job Rank: Teacher Specialty Areas: Pragmatics; Semantics Required Language(s): English (ENG) Description: The post holder will be required to provide undergraduate teaching for the level-three module on Semantics, Pragmatics and Discourse, and be prepared to contribute to teaching on other modules at both BA and MA level. There will be opportunities for the post holder to undertake teaching in their own specialist area, where apropriate. The post holder should have a good honours degree in an apropriate subject and sound knowledge of aspects of semantics, pragmatics and discourse. A PhD in a relevant area would be an advantage.
