One-year Visiting Assistant Professor in Linguistics and Cognitive Science
Beginning Fall 2005

Pomona College, a premier liberal arts institution in the Claremont
Colleges consortium, is inviting applications for a full-time, one-year
position in the Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science starting in
the Fall 2005. Teaching load is five courses, which will include
Introduction to Linguistics, Comparative and Historical Linguistics,
Phonology and courses in area of specialization. Area of specialization is
open, but specialization in phonology is preferred. The successful
candidate must have the Ph.D. in hand. Candidates should submit an
application letter, C.V., teaching evaluations if available, graduate
transcript and three letters of recommendation to Deborah Burke, Chair,
Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science, Pomona College, 550 N.
Harvard Avenue, Claremont, CA 91711. E-mail: dburkepomona.edu Review of
