Description:

Pomona College, a premier liberal arts institution in the Claremont
Colleges consortium, is inviting applications for a full-time, one-year
position in the Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science starting in
the Spring semester 2006. Classes begin January 17, 2006. Teaching load is
five courses per year, which will include Syntax, Psycholinguistics,
Introduction to Linguistics, and Introduction to Cognitive Science
(co-taught). Area of specialization is open, but specialization in syntax
and cognitive science is preferred. The successful candidate must have the
Ph.D. in hand and preference is given to candidates with teaching
experience. Candidates should submit an application letter, C.V., teaching
evaluations, and three letters of recommendation to the address below.
Review of applications will begin October 15, 2005 and will continue until a
candidate is hired.
