University or Organization: San Diego State University Department: Linguistics & Oriental languages Job Rank: Assistant Professor Specialty Areas: Psycholinguistics; Second Language Acquisition Description: The Department of Linguistics and Oriental Languages of San Diego State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Second Language Acquisition at the assistant professor level with an emphasis in its psycholinguistic aspects. The position requires a completed Ph.D. and active research program in SLA, including pursuit of external funding. Applicants should also provide evidence of excellence in teaching. Teaching responsibilities will include specialized graduate courses in SLA and L1/L2 acquisition at the undergraduate level. Send applications to include cover letter, CV, at least three letters of recommendation, and sample publications to the address below. The department will begin reviewing applications on Dec 1, 2005 and continue until the first phase of the review process is completed.
