University or Organization: Stanford University/University of Edinburgh Department: Linguistics Job Rank: Annotator Specialty Areas: Intonation/Prosody Required Language(s): English (eng) Description: Short-term Prosody Annotation Contract A joint project between Stanford University and the University of Edinburgh is looking for a prosodic annotator. The applicant must be a native speaker of English and be willing to work off-site with minimal supervision. Prior training in the ToBI intonation annotation system required; applicants must be able to annotate data using a cut-down version of ToBi without extensive further training. Unfortunately, because of visa restrictions, you must be a US citizen working in the US. We are looking for a minimum commitment of 10-20hrs/week, to start as soon as possible. Depending on the hours worked, we anticipate the contract to be for 2-3 months.
