University or Organization: Baylor University Department: English Job Rank: Assistant Professor Specialty Areas: General Linguistics; Syntax, Semantics, Discourse Analysis Description: The Department of English at Baylor University invites applications for a tenure track position in general linguistics at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2006. While the area of specialization is open, specializations in syntax, semantics, and discourse analysis are especially welcome. Evidence of a commitment to scholarly research and publication and to undergraduate education is essential. Teaching will be primarily in the department's growing undergraduate program in English Language and Linguistics, with the potential for graduate teaching and graduate student supervision.
