Description:

The bilingual University of Fribourg/Freiburg invites applications for a
professorship in English Linguistics (Full Professor, 100%) to be filled by
1st October 2005 (or by agreement).

A substantial record of publications, research and teaching experience as
well as a Habilitation (or equivalent) are required. Preference will be
given to candidates who specialise in sociolinguistics and varieties of
English.

The successful candidate is expected to teach at least 6 hours weekly.

An adequate command of German or French and a willingness to learn the
other language are required.
