Lecturer in English and Linguistics. Full-time, non-tenure track, 12-month position beginning July 25, 2006 (pro-rated to 11 months in the first year) to teach upper-division, undergraduate courses in linguistics and selected general education courses. Will teach at the Virginia Beach Higher Education Center, and possibly the Norfolk campus, both face-to-face and through distance media; 4/4 teaching load with advising and committee duties, plus 2 courses in the summer. MA in linguistics or applied linguistics required. Ph.D. preferred. Evidence of excellence in teaching and experience teaching upper-division linguistics courses required. Experience with distance education desirable.
