Description:

The Technical Group of the MPI for Psycholinguistics takes part in several
European projects which have as their goal to setup and integrate flexible
digital archives of multimedia language resources and to allow access to its
contents. In doing so it is one of the most well-known groups world-wide to work
on Data-Grid implementations and Semantic Web technologies.

To maintain the productivity and excellence of the team we are looking for
software developers who have good knowledge about Java programming for web-based
applications and who know XML technology. The new software developers will join
small teams of specialized developers that have the intention to develop widely
recognized frameworks and tools and to further participate in challenging
European projects. Software development in an academic environment requires a
goal-driven behavior but also continuous adaptations. Therefore, we expect a
person who is flexible enough to deal with these requirements.

The MPI can offer a position for two years. The salary is dependent on the
knowledge and experience. It is intended to continue to apply for further money
from national and European funds, so that longer contract periods are possible.
