University or Organization: University of Potsdam Department: Linguistics Specialty Areas: General Linguistics; Psycholinguistics Description: The Collaborative Research Centre SFB 632 'Information Structure' at the University of Potsdam invites applications for an Independent Junior Research Group Leader Position (salary scale BAT Ia) The candidate, a highly qualified junior scientist with a strong research interest in 'Information structure' shall hold a PhD, passed no longer than six years ago. We expect relevant postdoctoral research experience, an excellent scientific record, the ability to independently lead a research group, active collaboration and significant contributions to the research goals of the SFB 632. The Independent Junior Research Group will be incorporated in the general research program of the Research Centre SFB632 (for further information see http://www.sfb632.uni-potsdam.de/main.php) and be located at Institut of Linguistic, University of Potsdam, Postfach 60 15 53, D-14415 Potsdam, Germany, where the required laboratory/office space and basic equipment, including overheads, will be provided. The Independent Junior Research Group is funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft for up to five years and will enable independent research to be carried out within a research network. Funding includes the position of the group leader, scientific and technical personnel as well as consumables and instrumentation. Evaluation includes a personal presentation of the project and panel assessment. Female scientists are particularly encouraged to apply.
