Description:

Responsible for natural language processing extraction engine
architecture/design and implementation, development of test strategies, and
delivery of high complexity prototype and production systems. Incumbent
will research methods and technologies for improving software performance,
accuracy, and quality, maintain and improve existing software as required,
support computational linguists, and design and develop test applications
for evaluating product performance and reliability. Extremely strong
software engineering organizational skills (e.g., task breakdown,
scheduling, task estimation, risk assessment, and dependency analysis).
Potential for project leadership and management responsibilities.

Job Requirements:
Prior natural language processing experience. Demonstrated success in
designing and implementing complex commercial applications. Proven ability
to write detailed functional specifications and/or design specifications.
Excellent Java, C/C++/C# design and coding skills. Deep technical
knowledge and understanding of XML, XSLT, and related technologies.
Experience with text processing in Perl.

Skills Desired:
Prior machine learning experience. Prior project leadership experience.
Prior participation in a structured Product Development Lifecycle methodology.
