The Department of English Language invites applications for an RCUK
Academic Fellowship in English Language. The post is available from 1
October 2006.
In accordance with the funding conditions, on satisfactory completion of a
period of probation the successful candidate will be appointed to a
permanent Lectureship in English Language at the end of the period of RCUK
support.

Applicants should have a completed PhD relevant to high-quality research in
phonetics, sociophonetics and sociolinguistics.
