Workshop announcement and call for participation English for Specific Purposes - Terminology and Translation Areas: Law, Economy, Medicine, Natural Sciences, Philosophy, Psychology Dates: September 13-14, 2007 Venue: P. J. Safárik University, Kosice, Slovakia Organisers: Department of British and American Studies, P. J. Safárik University, Kosice, Slovakia and Slovak Association for the Study of English (SKASE) The Workshop aims at bringing together specialists in terminology and translation in the specified areas and providing opportunities for an informal exchange of ideas. Deadline for registration: March 31, 2007. Registration fee (payable in cash at the registration) includes workshop file, coffee and tea break refreshment, and the publication of the Workshop proceedings in the electronic version: Standard registration fee: SKK 300 or 8 Registration fee after the deadline: SKK 600 or 15 Student registration: free of charge The Workshop will be structured around specified areas. Each speaker will be given 20 minutes for the presentation of the topic, and the subsequent time for discussion will be 10 minutes. Detailed information on the Workshop is available and will be permanently updated at www.skase.sk. Abstracts of papers (200 words maximum) clearly defining the topic and the objectives pursued in the paper should be submitted to the Academic Agenda Committee by 31st March 2007.
