The conference will address a broad range of topics in pragmatics, discourse,
interaction, and sociolinguistics in their relation to second and foreign
language learning, education, and use, approached from a variety of theoretical
and methodological perspectives.

Resource Center - East Asia (NRCEA) and the Department of Second Language

Call for Proposals (Deadline - September 30, 2006):
Proposals for presentation are welcome on topics such as:
-L2 talk and text;
-Developmental L2 pragmatics;
-Pragmatics in language education;
-Pragmatics in language assessment;
-Pragmatics in computer-mediated communication;
-Theory and methodology in pragmatics.
Proposals may be submitted for Papers (20 minutes for presentation, 10 minutes
for discussion) and Posters. Abstracts for all presentation formats undergo
blind peer review.

Format: Papers should be typed double space on A4 paper.
Volume: Between 10 and 15 pages.
Twenty-five (25) hard copies and one soft copy of the paper should be submitted
at the point of registration.
