Secondary specialization may include: Arabic sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, theoretical linguistics, or translation studies. The Candidate is expected to offer undergraduate and graduate courses, supervise doctoral research in relevant fields, advise Arabic majors, and play a leading role in language curriculum development and in directing and coordinating Georgetown's undergraduate Arabic language program. Candidates should have a PhD in hand and must be actively engaged in research and publication. Please send letters of application, curriculum vitae, writing samples, and three letters of references. The department will start reviewing the applications on October 15, and will continue to receive applications until the position is filled.
