Requirements include a Ph.D. in English, Linguistics, Education or closely related field and substantial higher education teaching experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language. Those holding only an M.A. are also welcome to apply, provided they have significant teaching experience. Candidates must have excellent teaching, organizational, and interpersonal skills along with experience using technology as an instructional tool and demonstrate professionalism in the field of EFL as evidenced by presentations, publications and participation in professional conferences. Native command of English, both spoken and written, is required. NUCB offers a two-year, renewable contract based upon mutual agreement. If desired, the Faculty Member may apply for tenure, after four years of service. Appointments shall be made at the Assistant, Associate and Full Professor level for Ph.D. holders. Those holding only an M.A. will be appointed at the Lecturer level. Salary shall be negotiable based upon the applicant's educational background, teaching credentials, and career experience. The teaching load is normally seven courses per week, which are approximately ninety minutes in length depending on the term. Faculty members are expected to maintain office hours, attend faculty meetings, conduct research, publish and participate in all University functions.
