Subject: Portal for the Languages of Scotland
The STELLA Project at the University of Glasgow is planning the development of a data grid portal to facilitate research in the languages of Scotland. The project will provide a common, single screen, search interface to several data sets required by scholars of the languages of Scotland: namely the Scottish Corpus of Texts and Speech, the Dictionary of the Scots Language, the Dictionary of the Older Scottish Tongue, the Scottish National Dictionary and the Oxford English Dictionary. I would welcome comments from linguists. Would you be interested in using such a portal? Would you like to be involved? Thanks, Jean Anderson University of Glasgow STELLA, 6 University Gardens Glasgow G12 8QH http://www.arts.gla.ac.uk/SESLL/STELLA J.Anderson arts.gla.ac.uk +44 (0)141 330 4980
