The Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, Leipzig (Germany) and the University of Molise, (Italy), are jointly organizing a Symposium on

Nouns Cross-linguistically

to be held at Campobasso, University of Molise, June, 22-23, 2007.

The focus of the Symposium is on the syntax, semantics and pragmatics of nouns, nominalizations and other strategies that are used by languages in order to 'name' things and events. Our aim is to adopt a broad and interdisciplinary approach to this topic.
