Description:
Umeå University, in northern Sweden, is a dynamic university with ca. 3,700
employees and more than 29,000 students, of which 1,300 are in PhD programs.
This position will strengthen and develop research conducted in the department
of philosophy and linguistics.
The Department of Philosophy and Linguistics offers the research student the
opportunity to train in a small, creative and friendly research and teaching
environment. The Department offers PhD programmes in General Linguistics,
Phonetics, Cognitive Science, Practical Philosophy, Theoretical Philosophy and
The Philosophy of Science. The Department is a core node in the faculty-wide
research environment 'Language and Cognition'
We are recruiting one full-time PhD student to join the department of philosophy
and linguistics' research environment. The position can be in any of the PhD
programmes run by the department.
The position carries a taxable salary that currently starts at 20 000 kr per
month (Circa 32 700 USD per year) and rises to 23 300 kr per month (circa 38000
USD per year) over the four years of the programme. Health and Social insurance
is included in the position and paid for by the university.
