Responsibilities: Teach TES(O)L methods/theory seminar, linguistics courses; develop courses/programs for graduate ESL students; take leading role in ESL program administration; publication in areas of specialization Required: Ph.D. in linguistics, applied linguistics, English linguistics, English language, or SLAT(E) completed by 1 July 2007; one year experience teaching postsecondary ESL/EFL; near-native competence in English; completed coursework in TES(O)L/SLAT(E) and two areas of linguistics. Preferred: At least one year experience teaching university/college ESL/EFL; at least one year experience teaching college/university TES(O)L/TEFL/SLAT(E); publication/presentation in second language acquisition, first language acquisition or phonetics/phonology; at least one year experience teaching introductory linguistics courses; literacy in a language other than English.
