Papers are invited from scholars working on slang and political discourse
for publication in the book, Perspectives on Slang in American and African
Politics. The papers, which could be of any length, should address the
topics below or any other one that is considered relevant to the use and
understanding of slang in the political lives of Americans and Africans:

8. Slang and election conduct
9. Slang and grassroot mobilisation

12. Literary representation of political slang
13. Slang and political manoeuvres
14. Neologising and sustaining political slang

The deadline for submission of articles is 31 March, 2007. Authors
should adopt the APA referencing style. Electronic or hard copies of the
