Meeting Description:

The two-day workshop aims at presenting the state of the art in the field and
exploring new lines of research in phrasal verbs in Italian and Italian dialects.

We are pleased to announce that the workshop
''Phrasal verbs in Italian and Italian dialects. State of the art and new lines
of research'' will be held at the University of Turin (Italy) on 19-20 February
2007.

In recent years there has been an increasing interest in phrasal verbs in
Italian and some regional varieties and dialects (with special reference to
Northern varieties). A number of studies addressed the issue from different
perspectives and with different purposes, and considerably improved our
knowledge of these constructions, which seem to be a peculiarity of the Italian
language within the Romance family. The conference aims at presenting the state
of the art in the field and exploring new lines of research.

Speakers: Luisa Amenta (University of Palermo); Giuliano Bernini (University of
Bergamo); Grazia Biorci (CNR- University of Genova); Massimo Cerruti (University
of Torino); Monica Cini (University of Torino); Patrizia Cordin (University of
Trento); Claudio Iacobini (University of Salerno); Francesca Masini (University
Roma Tre); Christoph Schwarze (University of Konstanz); Raffaele Simone
(University Roma Tre); Lorenzo Spreafico (University of Bergamo) ; Federico
Vicario (University of Udine).

The language of the workshop is Italian.
