Meeting Description:

We invite individual or co-authored papers on linguistic issues concerning Turkish or other Turkic languages. The presentations can be made in English or Turkish. The time allotment will be 30 minutes including discussion.



We are pleased to announce that The XIIIth International Conference on Turkish Linguistics will be held August 16-20, 2006 at Uppsala University, Sweden.

Abstracts-not exceeding 250 words-are to be submitted in English by February 28, 2006. Each participant can submit one abstract at the most. The abstract should include information about the topic, the research methodology, the material used and references. An anonymous review committee will undertake the evaluation. The abstracts should be sent electronically as .rtf or .pdf files-using 10 points Times New Roman type-to Eva Csato.

Final registration form will open on the conference web site in mid March. To ensure that you will receive an e-mail from us when more information is available, please send your name and your e-mail address to the conference secretariat to join our mailing list. Please mark your message with ''Turkish Linguistics''.

Information about accommodation and further details about the conference will be announced in the next circular mailed to those whose pre-registrations are received by March 15, 2005.

Fee
The registration fee for the conference will be SEK1500 (approximately 160 Euro) paid before April 30 and SEK 2000 (approximately 210 Euro) after this date. The fee covers expenses for participation, opening reception, lunches and conference booklet.
