Would you like to use your knowledge of phonetic variation and linguistic
structure to improve people's access to healthcare?
Eliza Corporation, a leading provider of telephone-based speech recognition
applications to the heathcare industry, is looking to expand its linguistics and
speech research team. Eliza provides a dynamic, fast-paced, and
results-oriented work environment.
The following skills and/or interests are desirable in a candidate:
- Master's or PhD in Linguistics
- Good ear for phonetic variation and excellent transcription skills
- Experience working with large quantities of spoken language data
- Facility with data manipulation (scripting/programming) in a Microsoft
environment
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a larger team
- Knowledge of Spanish
Eliza Corporation is located on the North Shore, in Beverly, Massachusetts,
about a 35 minute drive from Boston. It is also accessible via commuter rail
from Boston's North Station.
