Learner Corpus Research: From Corpus Design to Data Interpretation

The aim of the Summer School is to introduce learner corpus research through a series of lectures, workshops and hands-on sessions. It is intended both for researchers who have recently embarked on a learner corpus project and those who simply want to know more about this exciting field of research. The following questions will be discussed:
- How to collect a corpus?
- How to annotate a corpus?
- How to analyse the data? (with particular emphasis on phraseology)
- How to interpret the data?
In addition, parallel workshops will be organised on error-tagging and on topics to be determined in function of participants’ interests.
