The organizers of ACAL 38 and ALTA 11 invite papers that address the conference themes, or any other topic relating to African languages or linguistics. Topics include, but are not limited to: Computational linguistics; Language acquisition; Language learning; Language planning; Language use; Morphology; Phonetics; Phonology; Pragmatics; Semantics; Sociolinguistics; Syntax. Abstracts of up to 500 words should be submitted online at www.doce-conferences.ufl.edu/acal-alta/ Abstracts must be submitted in either Word or PDF format. They may be written in either English or French. The deadline for abstracts is December 4, 2006.
