Description:
The central task will be to develop the teaching of linguistics as a tool for
learning languages, building on an existing application of this approach for
teaching English.
The pupils will be international, of high ability and various linguistic
backgrounds. The school will operate a peer tutoring system which will make use
of first-language pupils to assist their classmates. English and Spanish will be
taught intensively in the first year. Other major languages will be studied in
subsequent years.
Applicant must possess or be able to obtain an Argentine teacher's licence for
EGB2 & EGB3. Duties will include an active role in the care of boarding pupils.
The school will be located in scenic rural area in Mendoza Province, Argentina
within two hours of Mendoza city. Renumeration will be at international rates.
The post will start in early 2008.
