The preliminary program of the RLC-2007 contains the following groups of issues: - Current theoretical issues of Russian Linguistics; - Russian language in its history and prehistory; - Risistics and Cognitive Sciences; - Russian as a means of the international and interethnic communication in a new geopolitical situation.; - Russian language in imaginative writing and other kinds of speech activity; - Applied Rusistics and problems of the computer analysis of Russian language; - Linguistic aspects of the traditional and contemporary Russian folklore analysis.
Dear colleagues! The Lomonosov Moscow State University in collaboration with The International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature (MAPRYAL) organizes The Third International Congress of Russian Language Researchers Russian Language: its Historical Destiny and Present StateĀ» The Congress will be held on March 20-23, 2007 at the Philological Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University Chairman of Organizing Committee of the Congress -- Rector of Moscow University, Academician of Russian Academy of Sciences Victor A. Sadovnichiy Vice-Chairman of Organizing Committee, Chairman of Program Committee of the Congress - Dean of the Philological Faculty of Moscow University, Chair of Russian Language Department, Professor Marina L. Remniova Vice-Chairman of the Organizing Committee -- Professor of Philological Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University Anatoliy A. Polikarpov Learned Secretary of the Organizing Committee -- Alexander A. Varlamov The preliminary program of the RLC-2007 contains the following groups of issues: - Current theoretical issues of Russian Linguistics; - Russian language in its history and prehistory; - Rusistics and Cognitive Sciences; - Russian as a means of the international and interethnic communication in a new geopolitical situation.; - Russian language in imaginative writing and other kinds of speech activity; - Applied Rusistics and problems of the computer analysis of Russian language; - Linguistic aspects of the traditional and contemporary Russian folklore analysis. For the participation in the work of the Congress it is necessary to register at the website of the RLC-2007 (www.philol.msu.ru/~rlc2007/registration/) and to send abstracts after that (about a format of the abstract read below). There is also an possibility of taking a part at the work of the Congress without submitting an abstract. Registration of participants and receiving of abstarcts will be held since 20th March till 1st October, 2006. Deadline for sending abstracts is October 1, 2006. Language of abstracts -- Russian. (An abstract should be supplied with a summary in English in 1-4 sentences). A decision on the acceptance by the Program Committee of an abstract will be announced to authors by e-mail till November 1, 2006. Publication of the abstracts. A collection of the abstracts will be printed by the beginning of the Congress and will be available to the registered participants. Working languages of paper presentation at the Congress -- Russian, English, German, French, Spanish. Duration of a paper presentation -- 20 minutes for plenary papers (10 minutes for questions), 15 minutes - for papers at sections (5 minutes for questions). Program Committee reserves a possibility of stand presentation for some of papers. Registration fee -- $100. For Russian participants and other participants from the CIS countries - 500 roubles. The payment should be brought in to the Organizing Committee after the arrival to the Congress. More detaled information concerning the work of the Third International Congress of Russian Language Researchers and accommodation at the hotels may be found at the official site (www.philol.msu.ru/~rlc2007/). Before the Congress there will be formed and distributed a schedule of it (sections, seminars, round tables, etc.) among the participants. Attention to foreign participants. Please, pay attention to terms and conditions of application for a traveling visa to a Russian Federation. Information on details of this is available at an Ambassy or a Consulate of Russian Federation in your country. Organizing Committee Requirements for abstracts: Abstracts should be sent by e-mail just after registration as a feedback to the act of registration (www.philol.msu.ru/~rlc2007/registration). Abstracts should be attached to an e-mail message (files of abstracts should be prepared using Microsoft Word application) Volume of the abstracts -- up to 2 pages of the text (near 6500 signs) Font -- Times New Roman Cyrillic 12pt,. If some signs (for transcription or foreign language samples) are absent in this font you can use the standard widespread fonts (Symbol, Lucida Sans Unicode, SILDoulosIPA, SILDoulos IPA93). You can even use, as well, your own specific fonts, but in this case you have to send us this font (format *.ttf) with your abstracts. For creation of schemes, diagrams and illustrations, please, use the Microsoft Office applications. For textual markings, please, use the italic and bold types of letters. Margins of all sides -- 2,5 sm. Line spacing -- single. Head of your abstracts must be drawn up in the following way: Title of abstract; Initials and surname of author (authors); Organization, which you are representing; Keywords (5 words max.) Summary in English (1-4 sentences, up to 500 signs) Suggestion on the General Topic of the Congress for an abstract placing Detailed information about preparing of abstracts you'll may find on the RLC-2007 website since March 20, 2006.
