Description:
Applications are invited for an open-rank tenure track position in linguistics,
jointly appointed by the Graduate Program on Taiwan Studies and the Graduate
Institute of Linguistics. Research experience in languages spoken in Taiwan is
a plus. Applicants should have a PhD degree, or be very close to finishing it.
Duties include:
a.) teaching one summer course and four to six graduate courses per year.
b.) student consulting and administrative work at the Graduate Program on Taiwan
Studies and the Graduate Institute of Linguistics.
The application should include:
a.) CV and a list of publications (Short-listed candidates must submit
representative works)
b.) photocopy of your PhD diploma or a letter from your dissertation
supervisor indicating the expected date of completion of degree (Applicants must
have the diploma in hand by the time of appointment.)
c.) three letters of recommendation
d.) a cover letter explaining your research experience and interests
e.) outlines of proposed courses
