5th International Conference on the Mental Lexicon Date: 11-Oct-2006 - 13-Oct-2006 Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada Contact: Eva Kehayia Contact Email: mental-lexicon2006 mcgill.ca Meeting URL: http://www.mental-lexicon.mcgill.ca Linguistic Field(s): Computational Linguistics; Language Acquisition; Morphology; Neurolinguistics; Phonology; Psycholinguistics; Semantics Meeting Description: The fifth International Conference on the Mental Lexicon brings together psycholinguistic, neurolinguistic, and computational research on the representation and processing of words in the mind/brain. The conference encourages a variety of perspectives on lexical representation and processing and will be held at McGill University. We are currently accepting abstract submissions for platform and poster presentations. As in previous years, we anticipate an excellent selection of top quality research presentations and posters on topics that range from models of the representation of words in the mind to neurolinguistic studies of lexical impairment. The conference will include both 15-minute platform presentations and poster sessions on each day. We are pleased to announce that in addition to the submitted presentations, Dr. Angela Friederici (Max Planck Institute of Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences) will give the invited address. The language of the conference is English. The deadline for receipt of abstracts is April 14, 2006. Acceptance letters will be e-mailed by June 9, 2006 following selection by the scientific advisory committee. Additional information will soon be available at our website.
