The International Linguistic Association seeks an individual to maintain its membership database and handle correspondence regarding subscriptions to ILA~Rs journal, WORD. Other duties: create mailing labels for WORD, send email announcements for monthly lectures and maintain email list of attendance. Additionally, administrator will be responsible to assist with annual conference (3 days) when held in New York City. Ideal candidate will have computer skills, ability with EXCEL, access to database, good communication skills, and live in the New York metropolitan area. Knowledge of linguistics/applied linguistics desirable, although not necessary.
